RIP Jester Tromble
When Jenn got home today, Jester was unresponsive. She was home early to be available for the 4 hour window. She called me and I left work. She pulled Jester out of the doghouse and carried him to the truck, and she was gone to the vet before I made it home.
There was nothing the vet could do, so we had him put down. Jenn said he was breathing, but it was like he was sleeping and wouldn't wake up.
Obviously, we feel awful. We decided that Justice needs a better home, someplace with dogs to frolick with and people who have more to give. Marcus is coming over tomorrow to adopt her.
Jester was a great dog. He was always willing to let you pet him more ... even if you didn't want to. He was, for the most part, willing to go the last quarter when we were playing fetch. He had a contagious smile ... and really soft fur ... and lots of it. And, he was a decent guard dog, especially for a golden. When we had the intruder at the house in Norman, Jester was there to turn it away. We will miss him.

So, so, sorry for your loss of Jester. He was a great dog. I'm glad there's someone to take and care for Justice.
I'm so sorry to hear about Jester. I will miss him on my next visit.
He was very good, sweet, and lovable. Mom was remembering how he liked to be petted when she stayed with y'all when Andrew was just a couple months old. He will be missed.
I'm sorry to hear about Jester. He was a great dog, and you were great humans for him.
