Rachel lost her seventh tooth this evening of her seventh birthday. She pulled it right out, and then dropped it in the sink. She was quite distraught. Fortunately, we recovered it.
That was surely the low point of her day. She got a card and present after fruit salad for breakfast. She took Cocoa Krispies treats to school and sat in a high chair for appreciation time. She got a seafood dinner and an enormous dessert at a restaurant called Duke's. Her cousins in Oklahoma called and left her a birthday message.
And she has more presents in the mail, grandparents arriving from Idaho, the resumption of the Queen Anne Farmer's Market, and a birthday party to look forward to for the rest of the week.

Wait a minute! Today is June 3. How did she already do all that stuff on her birthday? It's only 6:30 in Oklahoma, so it's 4:30 a.m. in Seattle!
Rachel's birthday is June 2. Her birthday party on Sunday will involve a seven dwarves-themed scavenger hunt around Queen Anne. Should be fun.

Colin's birthday is the 3rd of a different month that starts with J, which could be a source of confusion.
