Plastered!

We got to the pediatric orthopedic ward at La Timone Children's Hospital right on time for our 10:30 am appointment. Then we waited and waited. They finally called us in for Maëva's cast about noon. She had been planning on asking for a white cast so that it would be easy to decorate. However, when given the choice of orange, she decided to go with the festive seasonal color:

We did not have an appointment for Laureva, but had brought her with us as our physical therapist had suggested we ask the doctor to have a glance at her feet as well. He graciously accepted. Turns out she has the same problem as Maëva, on both feet, but more pronounced on her right one. He said they could mold her feet for braces right away. So we waited a few minutes and they did. Laureva was not happy about it. She sat still through the plaster molding procedure, but bawled incessantly. We'll pick up her braces on the 29th when we go in to have Maëva's cast changed.
We were all rewarded by a late lunch at La Marmarita with Maëva's godfather:
