Thursday, we celebrated our 22nd anniversary. We went to Fos-sur-mer (not the prettiest of places, though nearby Martigues - the Venice of Provence - is quite pretty) where we lunched at Le Bec Fin and stayed overnight. The marmite méditérannéenne that we had as our main course was very good. It was a sort of spicy seafood stew with lotte, gambas and moules. We both thought it was excellent.
Thursday evening, we took some time to look over some of our wedding photos. It's unclear to me now why we have this particular selection on the computer. There are more photos than this in our official photographer's album and in our wedding photo box. Anyway, I've put the digitized ones into a Google Photos Album so you can all join in the fun of seeing how young we all looked in 2004!
Friday morning, we stopped in Martigues for a late breakfast at Les Gourmands before heading home.
They had all sorts of delicious looking things, including crookies (a cross between a croissant and a cookie) and giant cookies in little boxes with toppings like you see on fancy cupcakes. I had an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and coffee. Sylvain had a ham and cheese croisant, a slice of pain perdu with caramel sauce and a smoothie. We got donuts to bring home for the girls: chocolate for Laureva, and chocolate-pistachio for Maëva.

Don't worry, you'll meet some of the crazy characters when you visit. Then you'll be able to identify them.
It was really fun to look at the pictures and remember that amazing night. I secretly dubbed you "Tanya Energizer Bunny" for your ability to keep graciously going....
