California Check-in

If i could find my brains, I'd post a May report. But they seem to have been misplaced somewhere around the end of the semester leaving a blithering aunt. My fondest ambitions are to get a new tire (my car's been sitting there with the little spare on it for over a week) and manage to hang up all the clothes on the floor in the bedroom. I do have a horn to toot...the graduate students gave me the MFA Faculty Award. Unfortunately I missed the ceremony as they changed it to a different day than graduation (when it has traditionally been) six days before the fact. I cried anyway when I found out. I think I owe it to the good teaching tips I got from Evan's paper...

Congratulations on your award! Did you find out the qualities they especially appreciated in you?

Do I get some type of kickback?

Evan wrote a paper about teaching tips?

I wondered the same.

Well, sort of, kind of a "learning portfolio" thing for my "Preparing for College-Level Teaching" class.

So what good tips do you have?

I don't know ... ask Meredith. I wrote it longer ago than she read it.
