Andrew!
It's his 2nd birthday. We went to the park this morning. He tried out a few different slides and both kinds of swings. He also worked on his climbing skills by successfully maneuvering up and around a number of apparatuses.
I think he's planning to spend the night at Janice's and we have a b-day party, tentatively, scheduled for next weekend.

Happy birthday, Andrew. I spent your 2nd birthday flying from Juneau back to Washington, DC. Perhaps you like planes as well as trains. Grandpa
Andrew likes planes. From our future living room, he'll be able to look out the back windows and see the planes from Tinker. Once in a while, we'll be up at the house looking at things around shift change for the planes and Andrew will get to see a bunch of them coming in to land.
Yesterday, we went to the school for a few minutes and a train came just before we entered the building. So, we stopped and watched the train ... almost exactly 1/3 of a mile away (according to GoogleEarth, at least - 1739 ft). Andrew watched it rumble southbound across Boyd St until it was no longer visible. Then, we went inside.
He also likes school buses, heavy equipment (which we refer to as "tractors"), dump trucks, 18-wheelers (he's ready for a road trip, dad!!!), cement mixers, etc.
