Tomorrow, Lucas turns one. So, to celebrate, we had a little party. It turned out to be even smaller than we'd planned, because we had some no shows.
Anyway, the day started slowly. I got up about 7:30, which is too late to make it to church. We skipped. We walked the dog, then picked/cleaned up for the party, which was scheduled for 10 AM.
Mom arrived early ... who else would do such a thing? But, she had good reason ... she had g'pa with her. Mom drove down to Rivermont and retrieved g'pa this morning, took him to church, then brought him north to the party.
Sometime after 10, the other in-person visitors arrived: Janice and Randy. In the interim, Roy and dad got on for a b-day hangout, which lasted for a bit ... through some present opening, but not to singing and cake.
Lucas got some cool stuff. Andrew likes playing with it, too. The coffee cake Jenn made yesterday turned out well.
Then, to cap the festivities, Tanya and Maeva got in on the fun for a bit, via hangout.
After Janice and Randy left, and Tanya took M to go to bed, we decided it was lunch time in OK. Cane's was the destination. After lunch, g'pa was returned to Rivermont ... I'm guessing it was nap time!

What other cool stuff did he get besides the splash time sports balls I saw on the hangout?
A landmark event! This is the first 4 generation birthday party on the Tromble side of the family in a long, long time.
Balls. A xylophone. Clothes. A school bus, tractor, and helicopter. Anything else?
Let me guess: his new clothes are size 3T!
