Last night was Lucas' turn to go to basketball. I picked him up, then we went in search of food. First plan: crooked crust. Couldn't find parking nearby. Second plan: slim chickens. Done.
Arrived relatively early. Lots of empty seats. Close for the first few minutes, then OU pulled away. Final score was 85-56, with the Sooners defeating the McNeese State (LA) Cowboys.
OU shot well from 3 point range (almost 50%), but the guys were horrendous from the FT line (approximately 50%). Overall, OU was just better, which was to be expected.
Lucas seemed to have fun. He was a bit distracted by trying to keep track of Boomer and Sooner, the two horse mascots. He didn't freak out like he does at Chick-fil-A, but they didn't get that close to us, either.
Ice cream at Braum's to cap the festivities, although that was a bit of a debacle, too. Lucas was set on cookie dough ice cream. They were out. They were also out of cookies and cream and chocolate chip. Lucas settled for frozen yogurt, after a bit of carrying on. In my opinion, the Braum's frozen yogurt isn't particularly good. Lucas didn't seem to mind, though.
