Thursday, Laureva seemed to be on the mend from her bout with flu. She had no fever throughout the day, and in the evening, it was only 38°C (instead of 39°+). Then no fever Friday morning, as well.
Then Friday around noon, it started picking up again. 38 at noon. 39.3 at 6pm. Her cough persisted. When the same pattern occurred on Saturday, Day 7 of "flu," I decided to take her back to Urgent Care to see whether she hadn't developed an infection.
Sure enough, Dr. Giraud said she now has strep. When he prescribed the same antibiotics I had trouble finding for Maëva last week, I explained and asked for a backup plan as it was 7pm on Saturday and most pharmacies were already closed. He wrote one down (one requiring 21 doses over 7 days instead of 3 doses over 3 days). That led to a ten-minute conversation about the unfortunate state of medicine supplies in France. Since Covid, there have been periodic shortages of many standard medicines whose prices are state-regulated and which don't bring in much money for drug companies.
Sure enough, Pharmacie Caillac in La Bouilladisse (open till 8pm) was once again out of Zithromax. The pharmacist kindly phoned around to three other pharmacies before finding one who had it. We had to get back in the car and hurry up to Greasque where the nice staff at Pharmacie Costa were staying open for us. It was worth the trip as Laureva was able to start taking the proper treatment right away Saturday evening.
Sunday, she was feeling much better, so we girls were able to all attend the Harry Potter concert in Aix as planned. However, Maëva was once again running a low fever (38.2), so she went under the influence of Doliprane. 
Laureva returned to school Monday and had to make up three missed tests all in one day. Maëva stayed home with mild fever, cough and some dizziness. By the end of the day, her fever was gone, though, so she went back to school today.
We're still not out of the woods, though, as Sylvain has now come down with a cold!
