Tuesday evening, Sylvain remembered, and then remarked with a sigh, that he needed to choose a menu for the next day's meal. I suggested we choose our favorites from past menus this time. Here's what we came up with:
Lentil, smoked salmon, fresh goat cheese and dill salad (Sylvain's choice, a favorite from December 10th):
Risotto with peas, blended radish greens, mint and parmesan (my choice, a favorite from September 24th):
Easy chocolate mousse (made with cream instead of eggs) with caramelized peanuts:We had made chocolate mousse before, but this was a new recipe. It lived up to its promise of easiness, as you don't have to worry about over-stirring and "breaking" the whipped egg whites. It has a creamier texture than traditional chocolate mousse and we both enjoyed it. We made extra so the girls could have some for breakfast this morning.

Drooling.
They look so pretty, too. As well as interesting flavor combinations.
