Compliments

It sure is nice to be reminded that you're appreciated. Today was a pretty good day at the university!

First, I went to pick up some things from the department office. I got involved in a conversation with one of the secretaries and ended up mentioning how surprised I was that my 8am Tuesday morning class was full! She responded that it might have something to do with the quality of the teaching.

Next, I was standing in line in the cafeteria behind another teacher who is also one of the various department coordinators. She introduced me to a third teacher, saying that they made sure to take care of me so that I would want to continue working with them.

Finally, in my first introduction to British civilisation for non specialists class of the semester, a student made a comment that my course was more interesting than the English course they had last year.

Okay, I'll admit. The French aren't ALL bad.

What a great day! A tribute to your skill, intelligence and charm in the classroom...not that I'm surprised.

OK, so not bad, but perhaps a little slow? I'm glad they're letting you know you're appreciated!
