We woke up to quite the deluge this morning. Jenn has been asking for rain for a while, as the hot, sunny summer weather has left the plants (and grass) desiring more water than we were able to reasonably provide. Well, the mesonet station in Norman has received 3.72 inches of rainfall since midnight. More impressively, the station in Shawnee (east of OKC about 25 miles) has been hit with 5.62 inches in the same period of time. So, needless to say, we won't be using the water hose to provide the plants with water for at least a couple of days.

How long did the rain keep up? Sounds like we left just in time! By the way, thanks for blogging about my visit. That means one less week I have to write about.
The rain was pretty much finished by late morning, although we're scheduled for more rain this weekend.
