Oklahoma Advances, Pittsburg plays Villanova

The teams from the boys' towns are still alive in the NCAA. What if they meet in the final? Who will we root for?

Not entirely true ... Roy also holds claim to Robert Morris, which lost in the first round.

And, we don't really have to wait ... Oklahoma plays Pitt on Sunday. It's already happening.

By the way, the Sooners didn't look particularly sharp yesterday against Syracuse, but they sure as heck didn't look worn out or worn down at all!

And, Duquesne ... and the Dukes didn't even make the tourney.

Confused!!! It looks to me like Pitt plays Villanova today, and Oklahoma plays North Carolina on Sunday.

Come on boys!

Roy ... read between the lines ... wrong tourney. The OU girls play the Lady Panthers in a #4 v. #1 match-up.

And, dad ... take a deeper look ... OU would play Pitt in the semi-final, not the final.

Sorry. But, in my defense, it's asking a lot for your readers to understand that your first sentence refers to the men's tourney, your second to the women's, and your third again to the men's, all implicitly. It was easier for me to assume you had your brackets crossed somehow.

How could you possibly think that I thought OU was playing Pitt in the men's tourney? Really? Come on ... that's ridiculous!

I thought you might know Pitt was playing OU because you LIVE IN PITTSBURGH!!! But, you could have easily accessed that information ... maybe a google search?

Well, no need to worry, the Panthers couldn't handle the Wildcats. I was hoping for a Pitt v. OU matchup so I could see Blair v. Griffin ... oh well.

The fat lady has sung....
No Sooners, No Panthers in the big dance

Not true. The Lady Sooners play on after defeating the Panthers in OKC yesterday.

Well, with the Maryland loss, the Sooners are the last women standing among our "local" teams. I guess we can all root for Evan's team now.

The Sooners are headed for St. Louis and the final four. Unfortunately, our men's coach is rumored to be going to Arizona ... which could really set back the OU men's program.
