Marie-Elisabeth and David helped us host a super birthday party for Maëva yesterday afternoon. And the weather cooperated. It was a lovely hot day and for once, no chilly wind picked up in the evening hours so the pool time was delightful and we were able to stay outside all evening for the barbecue. Here's Maëva all ready to party and ready to "help" me blow up balloons:
We started out with cake and ice cream. Then it was time for a refreshing dip in the pool, followed by apéritif (with a batch of mojitos made by Sylvain) on the shady side of the house (outside in front of our bedroom and office) and finally, my "famous" (in Lascours, that is!) hamburgers. Here's Maëva still happy right before sticking her finger in the flame:
We think Maëva enjoyed having all the people around, having kids to play with, discovering new toys and especially swimming in the pool (she now "dives" off the side all by herself from a seated position and gets a big kick out of it!). Sylvain and I certainly enjoyed celebrating our first year of being parents!
