Lindsay captured me explaining the finer points of baseball to Kevin at one point in the game. Kevin is more of a soccer guy. I'm guessing this was early in the game, as Andrew spent most of the 2nd half on Kevin's lap. Yes, I know baseball has innings, not halves.

Mariners by a lot.
Rachel was asking during the game if Meredith or Anwyl would be upset that Oakland was losing. I assured her they wouldn't mind.
The A's brought the tying run to the plate in a nerve-racking top of the eighth, when they cut the lead from 5-1 to 5-2. But in the bottom of the inning, the Mariners reeled off six straight hits, and a pinch runner from the lead-off double by the catcher Carlos Ruiz ended the inning with a ground-out. I don't recall every seeing a pinch runner come back to bat in the same inning.
Hmmm....Rachel, I think the A's are a baseball team. Maybe. Does that answer your question?
