Hi Everyone,
Despite only one trip to the park today, Justice and Jester are doing pretty well (they'd had 5 park visits in the previous 3 days). I went with a few other grad students to the Governor's Oklahoma Water Conference (or something like that) in OKC today between my classes . . . it was pretty boring . . . the material wasn't technical, but I didn't really have anything else pressing, so it wasn't a total waste of time.
Kris, how's the house stuff? Boyfriend?
Meredith, how are things out there on the West Coast?
Any putt putt hole suggestions? There is still time! I've made a number, including an OU hole, a Texas A&M hole, a snake, and some random mismatch stuff . . . but we still need more hole ideas.
Well . . . I hope to see posts from everyone soon, so I can take a break from studying and read them. I'm off to watch the Sox and the Yanks . . . could a game 7 possibly in the cards? Can the Cards force a game 7?

I think you need a France hole. Maybe where you have to go underneath the Eiffel Tower or something...
Then you definitely need some kind of Alaska hole as well, maybe you have to go through and igloo or something...
Of course you're going to have to design all these. But then, that's what you do.

Hmmm . . . I'm not sure we're going to have stuff go through things . . . as that would require building stuff for balls to go through. Thus far, we've been focusing design on the layout of holes, such as twists and turns . . . although I guess some small structures could possibly be built.
Nothing's going to go through anything! What kind of mini golf course would that be?!
Hmm ... a spiral might be cool (we need an easy one for me and with a spiral the ball could just follow the rim around or are there not going to be any rims either?)
Yeah, there will be "rims" . . . and there are some "spiral-type" in the design . . . well . . . one at least.
The preliminary design for the course is going to be a concrete slab on the ground with a "felt" layer on top . . . not sure exactly what that substance will be . . . then make the holes out of bricks (so, use bricks as the "rims" . . . make sense . . . we'll have to come up with some way to get the holes in . . . either place them before the concrete is poured or bore out holes . . . remember . . . preliminary design.
