It's weird down here

We spent our Saturday with a trip to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch—we didn't eat any cheesecake then, though, because the lunches were too filling—followed by a couple hours at the National Aquarium. Nicole and I had not been since they installed their new Australian Outback exhibit, and Mary had never been at all.

We took our time touring because we had tickets for the 5:00 dolphin show. It turned out to be just about the right amount of time, though Nicole would have gone faster on her own, because she was suffering from an achy back. We got to see a kookaburra and flying foxes (hanging, not flying, though), a one-armed green sea turtle, seahorses, a clown anemone fish, sharks and rays and eels and all.

The dolphin show was short but entertaining. We learned how to tell the dolphin to do the high jump, and not to pet wild dolphins—they bite!

On our way home, we stopped by 34th street, but the lights weren't on yet. We'll have to try again tonight. This afternoon, we're headed to Chipotle for lunch. Evan, we'll bring you some foil.
