We did manage to find our way to Point State Park. From up on top of the hill, it looks like a really nice park. When you get down to it, there are construction fences blocking off the green parts. You can still walk out to the point where there is a fountain, only to find that the center part of the fountain either doesn't work or isn't turned on. It was a good place for pictures of the waterfront and activities on the water ... or for napping.

Amazing, huh? Actually, I talked to mom before she posted but after she'd been to the park ... she's the one who said it looks better from far away than it does up close. : - )
