Andrew is branching out on the eating front. Today, he tried pizza - he previously decided he likes turkey pepperoni - and recently showed interested in a protein bar I was eating. I didn't think he'd like it, but after the first little bite, he kept asking for more. Then, he realized that nutri-grain type bars aren't so bad, either. He's funny sometimes, though. He'll refuse a food if you try to feed it to him with your hands, but if you use a fork or spoon, then it's perfectly acceptable.

What a well-mannered young man!
But cookies and graham crackers and Cheerios are perfectly acceptable from your hands.
Cookies? No.
Sounds to me like he's using multiple signals to decide whether to eat something: (1) he recognizes it as something he's eaten before, or (2) it's on silverware. If you just hand him something he's never seen before, how should he know it's edible?
Animal crackers .... I think of them as cookies.
