Anwyl's father Marshall passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago today. He had gone out to check on one of his beehives, which was in a field at a friend's property, and was found by the friend apparently resting on the ground after Maija (Anwyl's sister) called and asked them to check on him when he wasn't home at the expected time. He had been dead for at least a couple of hours, so when he passed it was a beautiful, sunny spring afternoon. (The beehive was inactive, so it wasn't a sting as many people have asked us.) It is sad for us but we are happy that he was doing something he loved on a beautiful day and it seems to have been peaceful.

We were sad to hear of the passing, but share the same sentiment that he was doing pretty well to be out and about and doing what he enjoyed well into his 90's.
Our condolences to you, Anywl and his family. Tom had a great time talking with Marshall at Evan's wedding. We both remember him as an exceptionally interesting and engaged person.
My memories of Marshall are of a smart and interesting gentleman. A life lived fully to the end is a wonderful thing.
