New Resident

A couple of weeks ago, we discovered the birds (robins and doves) were competing to build a nest in the transom window of our kitchen door.  Between Roy and I, we spent the next three days or so knocking down the nesting materials in hopes to evict the potential tenants.  These birds were relentless and in one day they managed to get a nest up there four times!  Finally, the doves won and are here to stay.  They no longer fly away when the window is tapped or when the door is opened.  "Doris" (so named by Rachel), just looks you in the eye and poses for pictures.
