Tanya and I went to Safeway on Friday night to get food for breakfast and some Alaskan beer. We had dropped Mom, Nicole, and the girls off at the house we're renting, after dinner with Kenny and Noriko, so the girls could get to bed.
We gathered up the groceries, and a six-pack each of Alaskan Amber and Summer Ale, then headed for the checkout. I scanned my wallet for my Safeway card, but it wasn't there. (We don't have any Safeways in Pittsburgh due to the Giant-Eagle monopoly, so I took it out.) I searched my memory for the Idaho phone number associated with that card, but found nothing. But the cashier promised that if we could think of a phone number, we could get $4 back on Tanya's purchase, so she finally said, "Let's try 907-789-7975." And it worked.
So if you're ever in Safeway, and you need a card number to save a few bucks, that's the ticket. The purchase patterns on that card will be strange, indeed.

I figured that is what you were talking about yesterday ... I'm also not suprised it is still active.
It's a good number...happy to hear it is living on.
