Princess Tea Party

Saturday from 4 to 6 pm, Maëva had some friends over for a Princess Tea Party. She invited twelve little girls. Eight ended up coming. So we had nine little princesses running around for two hours (Ten if you count me. I dressed as Belle.). Maëva set the table in the veranda with cups and saucers, princess napkins, and a star wand, a packet of fruit snacks and a bottle of bubbles for each princess. They drank pink tea and had chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting.

Then they blew bubbles, did some princess art projects, and ate candy. Fun seemed to be had by all.
Even Laureva dressed up and joined in on the fun.
Five out of seven of the parents stayed to help (there was one set of twins), but I was still exhausted by the end and achy all over.
Since it wasn't a birthday part, I didn't expect the kids to arrive with gifts. They did anyway. So Maëva got extra spoiled with presents in addition to having her friends over to play. She got various princess accessories, a princess coloring book, a bikini, Minnie Mouse pool accessories and a story book. I wrote thank you notes and she signed her name to them. We passed them out this morning at school. She slept in her new swimsuit Saturday night and was all ready to go to the pool when she woke up Sunday morning:
