After lunch today, we went out to Brookside Gardens - a county park up near the headwaters of Sligo Creek - which runs down by our house. We had originally intended (some weeks ago) to ride our bikes up the trail to the gardens, but then Pam cracked her arm. So we drove instead.
Here's a picture of Pam with some of the azaleas, and one of her enjoying the scent from a lilac.

Pam cracked her arm?? Does that affect the Olympian plans for this year?
You should see the pavement! It looks like our neighborhood roads now! It was nice, clean, smooth blacktop before.
Pretty flowers. We have lovely smelling lilac in our yard, too.
Yes. She's out of the senior Olympics action until at least June. We went last weekend to watch the first meet that she would have been in. She would have done well.
I spoke too late. The next time I went outside, I noticed our lilacs are no longer in bloom.
Hmmm...is that "cracked" as in "broke"? Or perhaps not as severe as a break? Although it is bad enough if it is interfering with Olympic plans...hope it is healing quickly.
Isn't the technical term "non-displaced fracture"?
