Laureva has entered the doudou phase. There are eight stuffed "friends" that she often can't live without. They must go to bed with her at night, get up with her in the morning, and follow her around the house: Stuffy, Lambie, Hallie and Chilly from Doc McStuffins; bunny, kitty (Maëva's), Judy and Stripes (Sylvain's). Both girls argue over kitty and Stripes. Last night, Maëva woke up crying for Stripes in the middle of the night, so I took him out of Laureva's bed and gave him to her. Laureva never noticed, so all's well that ends well. But hopefully we'll be out of this phase soon.

There could be worse phases to be in.

Indeed. In fact, the phase itself is not the problem. Rather, the large number of necessary friends is the problem. When it gets whiddled down to one, like Maëva has, all will be easier.
