Sylvain Shoulder Update

Yesterday afternoon, I took Sylvain for a follow-up appointment with his orthopedic surgeon. Apparently, his shoulder is coming along as it should. He has now been instructed to take off the brace while around the house during the day to stretch his arm out straight. He still has to wear the brace at night and out and about for at least three more weeks. He has another appointment on the 23rd after which he may be able to begin physical therapy sessions.

Glad to hear the shoulder's healing.

Hmm. How is this working?

"How is this working?"?

Just confused by the healing mechanics, that's all.

Does the shoulder look "normal"?

No. It looks different than his left one. Apparently, the surgeon told him he would always have a little bump on his right shoulder from now on.

Sylvain's ER bill arrived: a meager $4,467.

Does your French insurance cover it?

It's supposed to. So, hopefully. Paperwork in process now, but it's a long process.

It's not over. I didn't realize the ER doctor would bill separately. That bill arrived Saturday: $1,634. Pretty steep for erroneous medical advise that caused us much ultimately unnecessary anxiety!
