Exciting News!

Monday, when I picked Maëva up from school, I noticed there was a new little boy in her class named Maxime. On the walk home, I asked her about him. He came from Marseille because his house there was too small and he is very nice. That's all she knew. Yesterday morning, I met his mom, Penny. She is Australian and Maxime is bilingual like Maëva. When I greeted him, he said "Nice to meet you, too" very politely and came over to give me a kiss. He has a younger brother, Alexandre, who is a year younger than Laureva. I enjoyed talking to Penny, a fellow English teacher. She was cheerful and upbeat and our conversation put me in a good mood for heading off to the university for my practice Shakespeare oral presentation. I hope Maëva will enjoy having a fellow English-speaker around for support and not feel like what made her unique has been taken away. I'm going to do what I can in favor of the first scenario.

So this is what Evan was hinting at. ;-)

Fingers crossed for more enjoyment than disappointment.

That's very nice. If needed, you can explain that Maxime speaks Austrailian, which does strongly resemble English.
