No Hangout on Sunday

Sorry. I'll be participating in the OKC Marathon (on a relay).

Then, flying home tomorrow evening.

Today, I stopped by to see grandpa. He looked fine physically, and it looked like he was being ably looked after.

He wasn't sure about me. He kept asking whoI was and how we were related. That's ok. I read him three letters from Tanya, two from Elma Claire, and showed him the graduation announcement from the Finleys.

Ok. So, now I'm going to climb up on my soap box. Haven't people been there to visit recently? The key to the mail box is hanging up on a hook on the top of the desk. It seemed like someone was getting him his mail regularly for a while, but that might not be a consistent thing.

Anyway, I'm always happy to read the letters from Tanya (and others). So, it's ok.

I'm going to try to go to sleep. We're meeting about 5:15 to head up the OKC. The race starts at 6:30.

Yep. I was there. Thought Rivermont was helping with the mail and didn't know about the key. Will make a note for next time. Glad you had something to share with him.

Soap box was probably the wrong term ... just something to check on ... sometimes there is stuff that needs to get sent to people (usually I send you dad) in the mail.

How long was your leg? I ran in a Baltimore Marathon relay team once. Probably not as fast. But, if memory serves, they weren't all the same length.

I guess I left that out. My leg was 10K (6.2 mi).

Update 4: Tired. Probably mostly due to a lack of sleep over the week.

Glad you had a good run and could see Grandpa. I'll be going for a couple of days in June for his 90th birthday on the 15th. (Fly out on June 14 and back on June 17) It's a travel summer for me. Oy!
