We were planning on taking the girls for a short Garlaban hike and picnic today. However, those plans were foiled by rain. Plan B: the movies. Maëva picked the Danish animated film Mika & Sebastian: L'aventure de la Poire Géante.
My do that little cat and elephant have quite the adventure in their bright green pear houseboat: pirates, sea dragons, ghost-filled black mist, a mysterious island! Maëva enjoyed the movie. She remarked that the cat, Mika, was braver than the elephant, Sebastian. In his defense, he did step it up in the end. I also enjoyed the movie, though the pace was a little slow at times, because I found the animation and coloring to be gay and pleasant. Laureva did not enjoy it. She was moaning and grumbling the whole time and seems to have started coming down with a fever right when we arrived at the theater. Back home, Tylenol seems to have gotten her back on track.
