Tuesday morning, Laureva's preschool was supposed to get a visit from some local farm animals. However, it was raining and rain was forecast all day long. When we arrived at school, we found out the visit had been postponed until next week. Laureva didn't understand. Animals like the rain, she said. Plus, she had on her raincoat with a hood, so she could go out in the rain as well. She didn't really seem convinced at the teacher's aide's explanation that she would still get wet feet and legs, which wouldn't be good. We also discussed why the animals couldn't come inside. She was amused by my explanation that various kinds of animal poop all over the school was not really desirable.

Sounds like you've been having weather like ours lately.
It's been raining here, too. The explanation of someone at yoga is that the volcanic eruption in Hawaii is causing cloudy weather worldwide.
Hmm. We're in a dry spell here, with no rain in the ten day forecast.
I guess you're too far north to get the impacts from the volcano. Too bad!
Despite the forecast, a fine mist developed an hour after my comment.
Hmmm. Maybe the surprisingly misty weather we have been having has something to do with the volcano -- hadn't thought of that. The plants like it, though. I wouldn't call it rain exactly -- just heavy dew till the sun comes in the afternoon and burns off the clouds.
I doubt it.
Meredith, you've just described fog.
Apparently, the weather has her a bit foggy.
