Fancy Pancakes

It seems like every time Laureva and I make pancakes, the batter comes out a slightly different consistency. It might have something to do with the food coloring she puts in and something to do with the milk/buttermilk ratio. Sunday morning, she made the batter red. I think I've finally hit on the perfect combination of buttermilk/milk (half a cup each) as this time, the batter turned out to be perfect for drawing shaped pancakes! We did hearts, a triangle, a square, a fish, a ruined rectangle that turned out looking like a hot dog, a ruined fish that the girls decided looked like a fire, and a cat head. Looking forward to more fun pancake shapes in future!
