Lucas Jr had a front row seat for all the sites along the way. He got particularly excited when he saw the sign for "Yellowcat," as he thought that would be an excellent opportunity to stretch his legs (chasing the yellow cat, obviously). Alas, we didn't actually see any yellow cats.
What did we encounter on the trip? Rain in SLC that made a relatively slow go of things. Snow on the side of the road (a couple inches there, but none in the driving lanes) in one location going up into the mountains. Temps down to 36 degrees and a few snowflakes landing on the car crossing the mountains. Mixed rain and sun and a couple rainbows northwest of Moab. Not much else.
