The final score was 24-17 OU with the win thanks to a clutch drive down the field by John Mateer and than 3 sack in a row with the last one ending in a safety.

The game was very frustrating to watch thanks to the plentiful amount of terrible ref calls on both sides of the ball. So it wasn't one sided per say but just terrible all around. And for an OU fan it was frustrating to see that offense work fine on the last drive when we opened it up and just started slinging it ( throwing ) and using some tempo, so it was sad we didn't do that before. As an Auburn fan I would've been frustrated because OU sacked them 11 times total and 7 without our best player even in the game because of a stupid targeting call the game before, and the fact that Arnold missed no less than 2 touchdown throws because he isn't accurate.

Unfortunately, Mateer broke his hand in the first quarter, so he's out for a while. That's going to make navigating the Sooners' ridiculous schedule that much harder!
This is the only time he could fix it though because 6 of our last 8 games are against ranked teams and we play our last 2 unranked teams kent state and south Carolina in the next 4 weeks.
I look forward to following the season through your reports, sometimes a ragged game might give more scope for colorful reporting!
