Comment Comments

If you've ever been troubled by the fact that comments are like Easter eggs, know that you are not alone. Every time someone posts a comment, I get an e-mail. Well, almost. This doesn't seem to happen when one MT posts comments. I'm not sure why. Anyway, the rest of you are pretty much in the dark. You have to stumble and grope to find them. Admittedly, it is neither as difficult, nor as messy, as hunting Easter eggs in the dark might be. Still, in my opinion, it is sub-optimal. I am attempting a partial solution. To your right you should see a brand-new "Recent Comments" link. This points to a rather ugly (but only temporarily, hopefully) page that lists and links to comments that have been sent to me as e-mails. If the automated system I have created functions properly, these links will continue to appear. At some point I will probably prune the page so that it really does contain only recent comments. For now, that shouldn't be a problem. Contents are configurable, to a degree. If you want the text of the comment to appear there, I might go for that. It's open season on comments!
