Our dear daughter Rachel is thirty days old today. For me, at least, this is hard to believe.
Nicole discovered today that Rachel's gaze will follow objects as they pass in front of her face. She turns her head to keep her eyes on, of all things, the TV remote.
She remains relatively easy to take care of. She wakes up a few times during the night, but doesn't make too much noise and usually goes back to sleep once her needs are met. She has taken to demanding more privileged positions, though—often she seems to want us to hold her while she sleeps. We make liberal use of the Baby Björn, among other tactics.
I'll post some more pictures when she hits two months.

I hope there's more before then!!! That's a long time for a grandma to go without new pictures.
Oh, dear. She's in danger of growing up to be like uncle Evan!
