We are home (10:30 Sunday morning) after a lllooonnnggg trip back -
- driving from Lascours to Montpellier (contrary to many things, the way to the Montpellier airport is NOT well-signed on the expressway).
- flight from Montpellier to Madrid
- 3 hour layover -- turned into 5+ because of aircraft mechanical problem
- 7 -8 hour flight to New York - arrived too late to make connection to DC
- customs, re-ticketing, trek to hotel etc
- 4 hours sleep
- up at 4:30 - back to JFK
- A full hour in the ticket line
- more waiting (but we did have a nice breakfast)
- 53 min flight to DC (shorter than the checkin line)
- cab ride home
total.... 36 hours....
We did have a great time in France, however. Here are a few pictures- Tanya at Gu's house, Tiger being Tiger, and one of our fantastic lunches (I overdosed on figs fresh from the trees, as well as grapes from the vines near the house - YUM!)

Sorry to hear you had such a hard trip home. But glad you made it. Now you need a vaction from your traveling! Reposez-vous bien!! That's a great picture of David's cheese! I'm sure Tiger will miss you when I go to work tomorrow.
