Family Expedition

Andrew woke up at 6:30 this morning. So we, unfortunately, also woke up at 6:30 this morning. After eating breakfast, Andrew decided it was time to go outside. He didn't actually say he wanted to go outside, but he went to the back door, moved the towel out of the way and started trying to turn the knob. Attempts to convince him that it wasn't time to go outside proved futile, so to the backyard we went (well, actually, everyone but me ... although I helped by finding tennis balls Justice has stealthily smuggled inside).

Then, after a while outside, we decided to go for another outdoor excursion. Jenn got on a bike and we put Andrew in the jogging stroller and off we went. I'm not sure exactly how far we went, it was at least 3 miles, but definitely no more than 100 mi ... probably less than 100 km as well, but there isn't an odometer on the stroller. Andrew seems to like these jaunts, although this was the first one with mom along on a bike. He zones out for the most part, enjoying the wonders of the outdoors, but also amused himself by waving at cars passing by and also at mom.

Bathtime is in progress. I'm clean, Andrew's clean, Jenn ... not so much. Hopefully, she'll have better luck when it's her turn than the Tennessee football players.

Sounds like waking up with Hootsie! "Open the door!" "Open the door!" "Open the door!"
