Saturday afternoon, I dyed Easter eggs. I did it during Maëva's nap as I think she's still a bit too young to participate. And if I let her watch, she would want to touch, and dye would get spilled everywhere. I wasn't able to find any white eggs, so I had to settle for brown ones. Most of the colors turned out well. The orange was the only one that didn't really have much of an effect. I hadn't dyed eggs in years and I found it a very satisfying seasonal activity. It felt like the right thing to be doing. The other thing that brought back memories was using blue-speckled hard-boiled eggs in a salad the next day. It's just not Easter if your hard-boiled egg whites don't have leak-through-the-shell dye residue!

I have no idea what you are talking about. I vaguely remember coloring eggs aa time or two at the house. I don't remember eating the eggs, though ... yuck, hard-boiled eggs!
