March 20th, I learned that I would be inspected during one of my 7th grade classes on the morning of April 4th. This is part of the process of going from trainee teacher to regular teacher. No big deal, really. Except, there's a huge amount of paperwork involved and due to recent family developments, I wasn't far enough along with my lesson plans yet. So, the last two weeks were quite busy frantically trying to get to a point with my lesson planning that I could fill out all of the paperwork required by the inspector. I was finishing Tuesday evening, when Microsoft Word decided to freak out on my computer. I had to complete it as a Google Document, but it messed up the margins and column headings. Oh well, I printed it as was Wednesday morning. It was decipherable.
The class itself didn't go so great. The students were very chatty and not very concentrated on the English work. However, the hour-long interview with the inspector afterwards went well and he gave me the A-okay.
As seems to be par for the course with me, I went through all this on a very sore throat that started Monday morning after Laureva's high-fever chicken pox weekend. I took Tylenol all week so I could get through what I absolutely had to, then after a night Wednesday to Thursday of searing pain in my throat every time I swallowed, I took Thursday off and went to the doctor. Big, bad case of strep. As soon as I took my first dose of antibiotics yesterday everning, I started feeling much better.

Glad you're feeling better!
Strep ... uh.
Maëva was sent home from school Thursday afternoon because she was a little warm and her throat hurt. I took her to the doctor with me. She still had swollen glands in her neck. The doctor said to wait 48 hours, then if it still wasn't better, to start a course of stronger antibiotics. So this morning, I went down to the pharmacy to get them. Now all three of us girls are on antibiotics and Sylvain has come down with a sore throat!
Uh oh.
