On the subject of staying off your feet (see comments on Tanya's most recent post), that just doesn't sound like fun ... so I didn't ... I went golfing! Is there anything better than trying to hit a little white ball into a little round hole on a sunny Thursday? Well ... yeah ... getting the ball to actually roll into the hole! My high point of the round was a 4 (birdie) on the par 5 9th, which I believe is the most difficult par 5 on the course, although it's debatable ... and I ended up shooting 82 (par 72). I figured I'd better get one more round in before my advisor gets back from vacation ... we're off to Austin Sunday for a conference Monday and Tuesday.
On a different note, I've decided I've had enough with Justice bring the sticks back to the shore, but not up onto the solid ground. So, I got a 20 ft. leash and a 25 ft. cable to reel her in and coax her back to me after she gets the sticks. We tried it out at the park today, and it worked fairly well. Now, if she'd just bring me the sticks when she wasn't attached to the line. Hmmm, I guess I've still got some work to do ... or we (Justice and I) still have some work to do.
In a few minutes, I'm off to the west side of the interstate to get a new microwave. Our neighbors are having a garage sale this weekend, so, in order to put the old microwave in the garage sale, we need to get a new one (we're getting a spacesaver one to go above the stove). We can't go too long without the microwave, so hopefully they can come install one in a timely manner!
Well ... I need to get ready to go. Happy blogging!

Treats work really well for that type of training -- especially if the dogs don't get treats all the time.
Well, yeah. She's kind of weird, she likes cookies, but I think she likes vitamins more. She's a health nut!
The biggest problem for the training is Jester. He always wants to be included, so Jenn will have to start going to the park with us, to keep Jester entertained. Once, Jester was going after the stick Justice had and she clotheslined him with the cable lead and flipped him over (in the water, of course), and he came up a little disoriented, probably thinking "What the **** was that?!!!?"
