OK, so no one liked my 4th of July post. That doesn't mean you had to delete it. Actually, Roy is here and he is baffled about it too. It appears that Sylvain's monster post has somehow obliterated mine.
Anyway, I renew my request for info on what everyone did on the 4th of July.

Sylvain is making up for all the time that has gone by since the beginning of the blog when he never posted ...
Pretty normal Juneau 4th. Sunday night I went to Kris's to watch the fireworks out her living room window with her. We had a perfect view. Then I stayed the night so I wouldn't have to fight the bridge traffic home. The roundabout still isn't open. A plus was that I got to sleep with two kitties, Samantha and Punky.
Monday morning Mom and I went to the parade. I ran into David Horton and Jennifer Hodges. The parade wasn't all that great, but I did get a couple pieces of taffy. I spent the afternoon cleaning out the closet in my old bedroom and starting to clean out part of the garage. I got pretty stuffed up because of the dust but I think it was worth it because there is not a huge pile to throw away and a huge pile for the Rainbow garage sale this Saturday.
Mom and I topped off the day by going to a movie: Herbie Fully Loaded. Very cute and fun.
Sounds like a pretty good 4th of July.
We did have one especially fun activity while Roy was down. We ran some of Sylvain's posts through the English-French language translator that comes with the Mac. Roy thought that Sylvain's English might contain some grammatical constructs that are, shall we say, less idiomatic to English than to French -- and so it might translate to French better than if written by an American. We never really figured that out because we got distracted by ... oh heck, that deserves a post of its own.

Yes, it was a good 4th of July.
Hey Roy. Why don't you e-mail us the Mac translation of Sylvain's post so we can see how it turned out.
