ET Writes, The Earth Shakes

I was sitting here adoring Baby Rachel and reading Evan's great posts from Alaska when there was a creaking noise and then the room swayed side to side. Yep, an earthquake. I checked into the USGS site where they have up-to-the-minute posting for earthquakes and filed a report in the "Did You Feel It?" section. The site instantly calculated the intensity from my report (and probably the reports of lots of others) and it was a 4.0. It does calculate it by individual report, but I think others probably weighed in or the seisometer (or however you spell that thing) got it because there's a new quake listed on the main map at 4.0.
