Sunday in Géménos

Sunday morning, we took the girls down to the Cavalcade (parade) in Géménos. It's St Eloi festival time there. We showed up just in time for the second round of the parade (they traditionally go around the village three times, which is nice because you can be a bit late and not miss out):

I didn't get any photos, but some of the floats were quite impressive. As in Lascours, all of the structures are completely covered in crepe paper flowers. There was one with a jumping horse on it. And another with several jumping dolphins and a yellow submarine that rotated with the movement of the float. After watching one round of the parade, we met up with friends from Lascours for a late-morning ice cream (the kids) and a stop off to ride rides and play fair games. Maëva rode in a pink car (she seemed to enjoy it, but was very reasonable and didn't want to do it again even though her friends rode one or two more times)

and "fished" for ducks with Sylvain,

 "winning" a bottle of Hello Kitty bubbles. We met up with David at a friend's bar. He took Maëva back to Lascours and the rest of us stayed for lunch. Laureva was feeling in fine form as I'd started giving her medicine for acid reflux the night before and I was finally able to get a photo of my little girl with a pretty smile!:
