We changed the time back today. The girls followed our instructions to stay in their rooms "silently" until old 8am/new 7am.
Today is also Maeva's fete (Sainte Bienvenue, which is what Maeva means in Tahitian). She found Wings of Fire books 8 and 9, and a mummy bath bomb waiting for her on the breakfast table. [Sainte Laura is the day we've adopted as Laureva's fete. It's October 19th. She got a pumpkin bath bomb and a Lego Friends Treehouse and kayak set.]
Sylvain spent the day in the village for the David Giraud Memorial Boules Tournament. Jimmy and Sophie's son Leon organized it this year.
The girls baked Halloween sugar cookies before lunch. This afternoon, I frosted chocolate-vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting and Halloween sprinkles. I also made a quiche for dinner.
After lunch, the girls got dressed up in Halloween costumes to go to a party at the Salle Raymond Reynaud with Marie-Elisabeth, Alain, Jackye, Gabrielle and Louis. They did various Halloween craft projects and ate junk food. Meanwhile, I did chores: garbage and recycling, balancing checkbook, and starting on Christmas gift and stockings prep. When they came home, we watched a few episodes of Gilmore Girls (our special girls activity for when Sylvain's not home) and had a hangout with Mom.
