Here's a video of Sarah and Ryans chickens with the 5 little ones that hatched from our eggs. Two are bigger and 3 are smaller (about 9 days younger). One larger one and two small ones have Blue Andalusian moms - they are the light colored ones. There are two brown ones - probably with Buff Orpington moms, but could be from the Light Brahma as well, depending on how the color genes work. All have the Wyandotte rooster for father, so I am sure that none of these chicks are from the Wyandotte hen, since they don't look like purebred Wyandotte chicks, which are much darker brown.
It's fun to see them growing up with a normal chicken family, instead of in a box in a bedroom. Two of the hens are sharing parenting duties, and all seven roost in the same nest at night. I'm so glad this worked out, and all the hatched chicks have survived so far.
