Showing off

Thursday morning we dropped the car off at the mechanic again for additional service. The walk home was cold—I should have brought warmer gloves.

We finished the girls' accent walls. Rachel's just needed a baseboard and trim. Lydia's needed the second half of the cedar boards, also.

Then we moved their bookshelves and all their books back up after three months mostly inaccessible in the basement. That was a whole family job. The boys carried many stacks of books up. It has been a long process, but we're getting very close to having things back in order.

Cold and sun go together, and we had a nice break in the afternoon playing frisbee at Coe.

I reread part of a scene of Dancourt this evening, and again encountered the word godelureau. It seems appropriately fancy for its meaning of a preening young man.

I'm confused. I see two full cedar board walls complete with baseboards and trim. What is unfinished?

It's all done.

I didn't know about the cat bed yet when I wrote my post.
