Friday was Rookie's birthday, according to adoption info. It's probably not correct, but it will serve. Lydia made Rookie a crown to wear and went with Nicole to the pet store for some gift toys.
I went for a walk after lunch in the sunshine. I got cash for Rachel's trip from an ATM and stopped at the bookstore since I was in the vicinity.
After work, Nicole and Rachel picked up first Eric, from a playdate, and then Colin and me from home. Then we all went to pick up Lydia from her frisbee practice. Next, we intended to get burgers for dinner at Giddy Up, but when we parked there, Nicole remembered they had bought ice cream, and we had to make a stop at home first to put it in the freezer.
Friday night we watched Everything Everywhere All at Once with Rachel. I found it very entertaining.
Rachel leaves early Sunday morning for Guatemala, so Nicole decided to move up the Easter festivities to Saturday. She hid eggs in the living room for the kids to find, with pieces from a 500-piece cat puzzle inside. I made some bread with conventional yeast for dinner, on short notice. Nicole's going to make carrot soup.
I did our taxes at the same time. The instructions were confusing in a couple places, including one set that seemed to have a circular dependency, but my strategy is to submit and let the IRS tell me if it's wrong. They've helpfully corrected things for me in the past.

Happy Birthday, Rookie!
I hope Nicole didn't have to hide 500 eggs.
Sylvain and I both found it a bit long. I thought the premise was entertaining, but couldn't keep nodding off. They could have not beat their points to death and achieved a similar effect in thirty minutes less.
