Hebdo

The first week of July defied regular posting with many late nights. But here's a summary.

Monday, we went to visit Nicole's cousin Brittany and her new baby at the UW hospital. Kylie was born on Saturday, so she's even newer than Jane. Rachel enjoyed holding her. Lydia went to see her, but declined hands-on. There was a two visitor maximum, so we had to take shifts. We had lunch with Nicole's aunt and uncle, then Nicole and Rachel went back for another visit.

Thursday, I had another ultimate frisbee game. I pulled my hamstring a few points into the game and had to sit out the rest. I hadn't thought about being able to run faster because of the extra traction from cleats, but I think that contributed. I'm not in any persistent pain, but walking is slowed down. I'll be out for a while.

Friday morning, Rachel left for a team basketball camp at Gonzaga in Spokane. She is due back Monday evening. She has her phone along, so we can check in with her. She has a sore ankle this evening, but is having fun. Meanwhile, Lydia has taken on cat-sitting duties for our neighbor in Rachel's absence.
