After a later than normal grocery expedition, I went out back to sit in the shade and read, but was distracted by neighbors. The Great Blue Heron was sitting on the Sam.
He didn't stay long, once he noticed I was there. The Little Blue Heron was hinting below the dam. I think he caught some smallish prey.
But he passed right by a big fish that washed over the dam.
