When we were in Juneau, the first day of school was postponed by a day (Thursday, August 14th to Friday the 15th) due to flooding caused by the glacial lake outburst flood.
This afternoon, we found out that our first day of school is also being pushed back a day (to Tuesday, September 2nd) due to violent storms and potential flooding forecast in the department for all day tomorrow.
Roy and Nicole must be thankful we're not still hanging out in Seattle!
